Nokia N83, first pictures and features

These are some pictures of next Nokia N83 phone (via MobiHolics) and these are the specs as we know them:

I'm pretty sure the new Nokia N83 will embed Flash Lite player.

Hey, don’t claim too fast that it’ll have only a QVGA screen, in fact it’s very probable that it’ll sport a VGA one. On the video side, I’m pretty sure the N83 will be able to record like the N93 (640×480 30fps) or maybe better, who knows.

One thing I’m sure of though is that it’ll have more than 4GB of HDD space. Samsung already have their 8GB phone out, it would be a disgrace to Nokia to even dare pull out something less than 8GB!

My guess is that it’ll be announced around October 2006 and will be available around February 2007 for around $700.

Very nice indeed! I just wish Nokia would put out more information on their website about their PDA functionality on these smartphones. I have a Palm and like it very much but these N-series phones look more promising than even the latest Treos with their weak 640/480 & 1-megapixel cameras.
