Apollo will use the WebKit(Safari) HTML engine

It's now official. Apollo will use the Webkit HTML engine for supporting HTML/AJAX based applications.

WebKit is an open source web browser engine. WebKit is also the name of the Mac OS X system framework version of the engine that's used by Safari, Dashboard, Mail, and many other OS X applications.

SWEET move Adobe! WebKit rocks.

Thanks for posting, I'm desperate to find out more about Apollo and terrified to not know what I'm not finding out by not being at MAX! ah well MXNA will let me know soon enough eh?

Cheers,
Dan

Does this mean that there is now a fully working port of WebKit that runs on Windows? Great that Adobe chose WK though.

I couldn't find it on opensource.adobe.com :(

Checked the Safari on my site http://allmedicalnews.com/ .
All works.

Thanks for posting!
