Ok, it's now official. The iPhone won't support Flash Lite or the Flash Player as plug in of its Safari browser.
There's a post by Bill Perry about the lack of Flash support for the iPhone :
Since the iPhone went on sale yesterday evening in the US, there have been several posts about the status of Flash support for the iPhone. I wanted to have this specific post to discuss the lack of Flash support for the iPhone and to provide some real world examples.

Just because the 1st release of the iPhone doesn't have support doesn't mean there won't be an update in the near future....Maybe when a new flash player comes out. Just a hope and a hunch.

but you have to ask why this wasn't the case from the beginning?
and from the beginning (well, months ago) Apple said they were NOT going to support Flash.
Is Bruce Chizen happy with that? if so, why?

No, it was Java that Jobs said was a 'ball & chain'. His specific response to questions about Flash has always been more ambiguous - other than saying you didn't need it for YouTube.
Remember - a real Flash player would need Adobe to develop it (not the generic Flash SDK which is stuck back at 7 but full calorie Flash) not Apple. Then there's the issue of not sucking battery - Safari on iPhone limits the length of time JavaScript can run, etc - Flash would have to do similar.

Another nonsense.... iPhone cannot run full Flash player being an embedded device and where FlashLite is supported embedded in browser it is not able to display the websited that Bill Perry has tried to navigate either, so where is the problem? Can anybody point me to at least 10 websites that supports FlashLite embedded in pages? We had FlashLite in Nokias for about 5 years, still can't find any significant web presence.
