On the Adobe Connection Center there are a Flex 3 video training to learn Flex essentials in 5 days:
Learn Flex in one week by going through this video training course. To maximize your learning, we recommend that you view the videos and complete the exercises in the order that they are listed. If you run into problems and have questions, you can ask a question on the Flex in a Week forum.
Topics divided into 5 days cover the following aspects of the framework:

I have been learning flex on books and i am i would say intermediate to advanced student
I just can find lesson on specific issues
like how to place an icon on the menuBar
I have tried itemrender and iconLabel
but cant make it work.
if you can give me some lessons on specific matters
or know someonet that can give it to me please
help me i want to move forward on my learning
