Flash 3 web animation is old skool!! :) I should take a picture of my copy of the orginal "Actionscript, the definitive guide", it's so worn down it looks like I inherited it from 6 generations ago :D

I have that Hillman Curtis book and The Flash 4 Magic book, too! Awesome memories. I still show the Hillman Curtis books to entry level students as examples of what you can pull off with low bandwidth connections. There are some brilliant little gems in that book.
