I've just discovered this incredible project (that it's not so new):
Google's Liquid Galaxy is engineer Jason Holt's 20% time project, a wraparound view of 8 LCD screens providing a truly immersive experience of Google Earth and Street View.
Playing back the panoramas like a flipbook made it feel like we were zooming through the streets of the world.
I now can not do without g-view. It tells you a lot about the place before you even make your move.
