I want to report a error happened to a japanese mobile users that tried to install Flash Lite 2 onto a Nokia 6680 in Japan (702NK II).
He said that after installing the Flash Lite 2,he received an "Installation Security" error. He contacted Vodafone Japan and Nokia in Japan that said that the carrier has restricted .sis applications that were NOT from the Vodafone mobile website.
Therefore Nokia Japan all said that Vodafone Japan programmed their own phones to NOT accept any other .sis application unless it was from Vodafone. The phone is indeed a "Nokia 6680" but when Vodafone receives the phone, they reprogram the phone and call it "702 NK II".
Unbelievable !!!
i just want to tell everyone i can that there is a simple way to get around softbank's infuriating sabotage of this otherwise fine phone.
there is a small program named "Halwin" that you can download, which converts any .sis application into a format that can be easily dragged and dropped directly onto your phone (or memory card) from windows. it was written by some guys in japan, and it works.
you can download it from: http://www.teamknox.com/Hal/Halj.html
english instructions are at: http://www.gaijinpot.com/bb/showthread.php?t=28079

Thanks for the explanation, Marco. I included a link to it in my recent translation of the instructions I found to get my "702NK II" to sync with my Mac. But was wondering why I had to go through all that...
