Hi Marco! Thanks for a great post.

At my workplace, we're investigating mobile development platforms. So far we're keen on using J2ME with frameworks/libraries such as the ones provided by mBricks.

Flash Lite currently doesn't look viable because:

1) Most phones doesn't have Flash Lite preinstalled, and you need that to play the compiled files, right?

2) You have to open up Flash first, then find the application... to much of a burden.

Is this going to change, in other words, will the compiled applications either become self-supported or will it be possible for consumers to install Flash Lite, and will this allow people to fire up applications without booting the Flash Lite player first?
