I'm not a BlackBerry user but I like this marketing action ideated by RIM (Research in Motion) that launched a light version of its server software : Enterprise Server Express.
The new offering aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, branch offices and companies new to BlackBerry and it's free to download and use to any customer who purchases a new BlackBerry device.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express provides tight integration with Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino or Novell GroupWise to enable secure, pushed-based wireless access to email, organizer, Internet and intranet applications.
Maybe with the recent release of Nokia E61 (flash lite enable), RIM sees a possible BlackBerry-killer.
Read the RIM press release.
Web application developers can now reuse existing open source C and C++ client or server-side code on the Flash Platform.
