The Flex Addon for Spring Roo aims to raise the bar for developer productivity in building Spring-based RIAs with a Flex client by meeting the following goals:

1. Provide the fastest way to get a Spring project configured to use Spring BlazeDS Integration set up and running.
2. Eliminate the need to manually perform repetitive tasks such as keeping ActionScript and Java domain objects in sync.
3. Automate round-tripping code-generation of Flex artifacts with a focus on letting developers do what they do best - write code.

Updated the Spring Blaze DS (just a reminder for our Core Spring students)

Today started the Core Spring course in Rome (Comtaste is Spring Authorised Training center) and I just wanted to rember to our students that Adobe recently announced the launch of Flex 4 and Flash Builder 4. Along with data-centric development features (including services introspection, value objects and service stubs generation), Flex 4’s Spark component model enables a new level of collaboration between Designers and Developers. For the launch, Adobe has also updated the Spring Blaze DS related content, including:

• Updated Intro on Spring Blaze DS Integration
• Updated Spring Blaze DS Integration Test Drive (with files)
• New videos on using Flash Builder 4 Data Wizards with Spring and Java
